AIMA COUNCIL AWARD

AIMA presents: a council-selected award by leading AI art collectives. Every year, invited council members review all AIMA Official Selections and identify one work that stands above the rest. One council. One decision. One artwork.

Every AIMA Official Selection is automatically considered for the annual AIMA Council Award.

THE PROCESS

From Official Selection to Council Award

The Council Award is not a separate competition.

Instead, every artwork selected as an Official Selection automatically enters consideration for the annual AIMA Council Award.

Throughout the year, artists submit work to AIMA across all categories.

At the end of the cycle, the council reviews the year's Official Selections and determines one overall winner.

Every AIMA Official Selection is automatically considered for the annual AIMA Council Award.

How It Works

1. Submit Your Work

Artists submit work throughout the year across all AIMA categories.

↓

2. Become an Official Selection

Selected works become part of the annual AIMA Official Selections.

↓

3. Council Review

Each council member selects one artwork from the year's Official Selections.

↓

4. Final Decision

The council reviews the selected works and determines one overall winner.

↓

5. Council Award Winner

One artist receives the annual AIMA Council Award.

Why The Council Award Exists

The Council Award was created to recognize exceptional work through the collective perspective of established voices within the AI art space.

Rather than relying on a single jury, the award brings together independent collectives, publications and curators who contribute their own perspective to the final decision.

The result is a selection process shaped by multiple viewpoints, united by a shared commitment to artistic quality, originality and cultural relevance.

The Council

The AIMA Council brings together invited voices from across the AI art landscape.

Each council member contributes a unique perspective shaped by their own platform, publication, collective or curatorial practice.

Each participating collective carries equal voting power, with one vote per collective regardless of its number of representatives.

Together, they define the annual Council Award.
