Selection Approach

When selecting the works, I will not be guided by one particular style or aesthetic. What interests me more is whether a work has its own identity, comes from conscious artistic decisions, and brings something distinctive to the contemporary generative art landscape.

The most important elements for me will be:

1. Uniqueness
This is one of the most important factors for me. I am looking for works that do not feel like another variation of a current trend or popular aesthetic. Uniqueness can come from composition, storytelling, emotion, detail, or simply from a very personal way of seeing the world.

2. Mastery and level of execution
The level of control over the medium will be very important to me. I want to feel that the final result comes from conscious artistic decisions rather than chance. Composition, light, color, detail, and all the elements that show a deep understanding of the chosen medium will matter.

3. A distinctive visual language
I am especially interested in artists whose works begin to create a recognizable world. It is not about repeating the same motif, but about having a clear creative DNA and visual consistency. Ideally, a work should be recognizable even before seeing the artist’s name.

4. Idea and intention
A technically perfect image is not always an interesting artwork. What matters to me is whether there is an idea, emotion, question, or story behind the work. It does not need to be a complex concept, but there should be a sense that the work exists for a reason.

5. Emotion and the ability to hold attention
I will look for works that make me want to stay with them for a little longer. They may evoke fascination, curiosity, tension, discomfort, or something difficult to define. What matters most is that they are not indifferent and leave something behind.

6. Conscious use of AI
I am less interested in the tool itself than in how it is used. AI should serve the artist’s vision, not the other way around. I especially value works where technology becomes a means of creating something genuinely individual and meaningful.

7. Creative courage
I value experimentation, risk, and unexpected decisions. Sometimes it is a subtle break from convention, an unusual detail, or a departure from a safe aesthetic that makes a work truly memorable.

Ultimately, I will be looking for works where uniqueness, mastery, an individual artistic voice, and conscious intention come together. For me, the strongest AI artworks are not demonstrations of what technology can do. They are works in which the technology moves into the background and the artist’s vision becomes the most important element.
