Short Description
Macchina Sacra is a personal tribute to my connection with Ducati — especially the Monster series. I’ve always been drawn to its design language, the sound of the engine, and the sheer physical presence it commands. For me, riding was more than a hobby — it was a kind of meditation. The rhythm of the road, the feedback of the throttle, the way the engine spoke — it was all therapy. Though I’m no longer able to ride, that sensation still lives in me. This image reflects that internal echo: a heart built from memory, shaped by machinery, still beating for the road. It’s about passion, absence, and the bond between my body and machine.
Process
I started with a photorealistic anatomical heart and gradually fused it with elements emulating — red chassis of the Ducati, mechanical parts, and exhaust pipes replacing the arteries. I wanted it to feel visceral, like the machine was part of the body. I spent time refining textures to make the fusion look painful but beautiful, blending chrome and flesh. The concept evolved as I built it — the more I added, the more it felt like a tribute not just to the bike, but to the feeling of riding. It became a visual representation of passion, loss, and mechanical memory.
