A synthetic sentinel stands in stillness—neither fully human nor fully machine. With eyes obscured and alloyed hands clasped in tension, the figure becomes an emblem of the post-human threshold. The red splatter evokes both violence and transformation, a rite marking the surrender of flesh to engineered function. As Donna Haraway writes, “the cyborg is a creature in a post-gender world… a condensed image of both imagination and material reality.” This work reflects a near-future in which the boundaries between human identity, labor, and automation dissolve—and what comes next is built not from flesh, but from code.
