Machine Architecture
Short Description
In the spirit of Lebbeus Woods’ visionary defiance, architecture becomes a parasitic act. These mechanical interventions do not seek permission; they colonize the scars of the existing fabric to create a new, unstable reality.
A machine-utopia born from collision, not harmony.
Prompt Logic
These images were generated in MidJourney through an iterative process that combined conceptual research, prompt engineering, visual references, and AI-based post-production. The work originated from the ideas of Machine Architecture and Parasitic Architecture, imagining architectural organisms that invade and attach themselves to existing urban structures. A major source of inspiration was the speculative work of Lebbeus Woods, whose drawings explore the relationship between architecture, technology, conflict, and transformation.
My workflow usually begins with a collection of keywords rather than complete sentences. Starting from the core concepts, I progressively enrich the prompt with stylistic, material, atmospheric, and photographic references following established prompt-engineering practices. After multiple rounds of experimentation and image generation, the prompt is refined and optimized with the assistance of an LLM to improve visual coherence and better articulate the intended aesthetic direction.
The final prompt used for these images was:
architecture photography, an experimental brutalist colored building in the style of Lebbeus Woods nested in the old cityscape, the building is made like a scifi mecha tech robot moth cocoon as a Transparent plastic bag, surreal cantilever, failed architecture, outdoor, with mechanical details, Perfect anatomy, dezeen, アニメ, hermes ad, knolling, national geographic footage, silicone skin, stained”, fujifilm”, film grain, cinematic, 8k, detail, shot on imax camera
To achieve a more realistic appearance and a specific emotional atmosphere, in this case cinematic, dystopian, and melancholic, I also incorporate LoRAs and style reference images, carefully adjusting their influence to balance visual consistency with creative freedom. The resulting structures were conceived as hybrid entities, somewhere between architecture, machinery, and autonomous technological organisms embedded within the city.
The final images were enhanced using Krea Enhancer to increase sharpness, enrich surface detail, and strengthen the overall photographic realism, helping transform the generated outputs into convincing architectural visualizations.
