Short Description
Inner Fears visualizes the creatures that dwell within the subconscious — the anxieties and hidden terrors that shape our inner worlds. The figure, cloaked in black and red, stands unshaken as monstrous forms emerge around her. The piece is both a confrontation and a reclaiming of power, suggesting resilience in the face of what unsettles us most.
Inner Fears is a visual exploration of the shadows we carry within us — those silent terrors that both pursue and shape us. Each image stages a confrontation between the human figure and monstrous, animalistic forms, blurring the line between fear as an external threat and fear as an internal possession.
In the first work, the figure stands in defiance, cloaked in crimson as vast arachnid forms loom behind her — the moment of facing what terrifies us. The second transforms resistance into embodiment: horns and monstrous features emerge, suggesting that fear, once denied, becomes part of our identity. The third portrays flight, as the figure runs alongside a horned beast, fear no longer separate but shadowing every movement — predator and protector at once.
Together, these works map the cycle of fear: confrontation, transformation, and surrender. They ask whether inner fears destroy us, or whether they are the very forces that grant us strength, vigilance, and survival.
