Short Description

This surreal construct portrays a hen mechanized for relentless egg production. Gleaming wires, conveyor components, and synthetic extensions underscore the automation of what was once natural. Brightly lit, uniformly placed eggs contrast starkly with the organic form of the bird, now reduced to a biological component within a machine.

Process

This piece draws deeply from critiques of animal agriculture, especially the battery hen system where chickens are confined and treated as tools for mass production. The fusion of flesh and machine symbolizes the objectification and exploitation of sentient beings for industrial gain. It confronts viewers with the unsettling normalization of turning animals into mere cogs in a system, prompting reflection on ethical boundaries in our food systems.
