This piece explores the human condition after Eden. It portrays a figure floating alone in an unfamiliar environment, having left behind a lost paradise.
The transparent fragments covering the body reflect light beautifully, but simultaneously represent the cold, sharp remnants of loss. They symbolize the coexistence of newfound enlightenment and the scars that humanity gained after losing paradise.
The figure in the work has their eyes closed and is floating peacefully. This demonstrates not a chaotic state, but rather the paradoxical sense of tranquility and inner contemplation that arrives after a great loss.
