Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AI Master Award platform (“AIMA”), including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through aimasteraward.com, operated by Retrospective of Jupiter, headquartered in Bern, Switzerland.
By using this platform and submitting your work, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility
To participate, you must:
Be at least 18 years old, or have verified consent from a parent/guardian.
Own or have the legal right to use and submit the work.
Submit work that is, in part or whole, created using AI-generative technology.
We reserve the right to disqualify submissions that do not meet these criteria or breach intellectual property laws.
Additionally, we reserve the right to remove Winner or Official Selection images from our platform and social media without prior notice or justification if we believe they violate our community guidelines or do not adhere to the established standards. This includes, but is not limited to, content that may be deemed offensive, inappropriate, or harmful.
Furthermore, we also reserve the right to remove Winner or Official Selection images from our platform, social media, and any associated marketing materials without prior notice, and without providing specific reasons or informing the user, at our sole discretion.
3. Submission Process
Entries must be submitted via our official submission page at aimasteraward.com/submit-ai. Submissions outside this portal (e.g., via email or social media) will not be accepted.
Paying the entry fee does not guarantee selection.
4. Review and Selection
4.1 Official Selection
All entries are reviewed by our professional jury. Whether or not your work is selected, you will be notified of the outcome via email.
If selected:
Your image will be published on the AIMA platform.
You will receive an Official Selection laurel.
Your work will automatically qualify for the quarterly AI Master Award in its category.
4.2 Frequency of Selection
Winners are selected four times per year (March, June, September, December). One winner per category is selected each quarter. The number of categories may evolve over time.
5. Award Winners
Each quarter’s winners will receive:
The AI Master Award trophy, shipped directly to the recipient’s doorstep, at no additional cost.
A feature on the official AIMA Winners Page
Promotion on AIMA’s social media and marketing channels
The award is a recognition of excellence in AI-generated visual art.
6. Rights and License for Submitted Work
By submitting content to AIMA, you:
Retain full copyright and ownership of your work.
As a participant in the AI Master Award, you retain full copyright of your submitted work. Your creation remains entirely yours — now and in the future.We also respect your moral rights: whenever your work is featured on our platforms or shared as part of the award’s communication, you will be credited as the creator. In the rare event that a credit is missing due to oversight, we will promptly correct it upon notification.
Grant AIMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license to:
Display your work on our platform(s)
Promote your work via social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns
Use your image in press releases, award presentations, and online or print publications
Include your work in possible future exhibitions, catalogues, or printed showcases of the AI Master Award
This permission is granted through the submission process, including explicit consent provided via required confirmation checkboxes.
This license allows AIMA to promote the award and its participants, but you remain the rightful creator of the image. You may continue to use, sell, or license your work elsewhere.
You confirm that:
The submitted work does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or moral rights of any third party.
If other identifiable individuals, elements, or data appear in the image, you have obtained proper consent.
7. Content Standards
Submissions must not:
Contain unlawful, defamatory, violent, or discriminatory content
Violate copyright or trademarks of others
Include hateful, pornographic, or exploitative material
We reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry without refund if it violates these standards.
8. Intellectual Property of AIMA
All elements of the AIMA website and award materials, including branding, text, visuals, and design, are the intellectual property of AI Master Award AIMA. Unauthorized reproduction or misuse is strictly prohibited.
9. Data Collection and Privacy
When using our platform, you agree that we may collect and store:
Your name, email, and contact data
Your submitted content
Technical metadata (e.g. IP address, browser type, device data)
Data is used solely for:
Administering your submission
Contacting you regarding your participation
Improving our platform performance
We do not share your data with third parties unless legally required. For more, refer to our Privacy Policy.
9.1 Newsletter Subscription
By submitting your work or participating in public voting (e.g., AIMA Clash), you agree to be automatically subscribed to our newsletter.
This allows us to keep you informed about award updates, results, upcoming calls for entries, and related creative opportunities.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in each email or by contacting us directly.
10. Submission Fee & Refunds
Each submission requires an entry fee. The submission fee helps us maintain a high-quality and independent platform. This fee covers:
Administrative processing
Jury review by professionals
Eligibility for Official Selection and the AI Master Award
Paying the fee does not guarantee selection.
Fees are refundable within 14 days of submission, provided the work has not yet entered the review process. Outside this window, we cannot offer refunds.
Entry fees are non-refundable, including:
If the work is not selected
If you change your mind
If the submitted image is disqualified
Please double-check your work and eligibility before submitting.
11. Modification and Cancellation
We reserve the right to:
Modify award categories or jury members
Postpone award cycles or dates due to force majeure
Cancel the award in part or full under extraordinary circumstances
In such cases, we will notify participants via email or website announcements.
12. Limitation of Liability
AI Master Award is not liable for:
Technical problems during upload or payment
Lost shipments of awards due to incorrect address data
Damages resulting from unauthorized third-party use of submitted images
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Participation is at your own risk.
13. Disputes and Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any legal disputes will be handled exclusively by the competent courts in Bern, Switzerland.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting any image to AIMA or using the platform in any way, you confirm that you:
Have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions
Have all rights to the submitted material
Agree to the use of your image under the license outlined above
Will not hold AIMA liable for any loss or legal claim resulting from your submission
