These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AI Master Award platform (“AIMA”), including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through aimasteraward.com, operated by Retrospective of Jupiter, headquartered in Bern, Switzerland.

By using this platform and submitting your work, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Legal Entity and Contact

Operator:
Retrospective of Jupiter
AI Master Award
3007 Bern
Switzerland

2. Eligibility

To participate, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or have verified consent from a parent/guardian.

  • Own or have the legal right to use and submit the work.

  • Submit work that is, in part or whole, created using AI-generative technology.

We reserve the right to disqualify submissions that do not meet these criteria or breach intellectual property laws.

Additionally, we reserve the right to remove Winner or Official Selection images from our platform and social media without prior notice or justification if we believe they violate our community guidelines or do not adhere to the established standards. This includes, but is not limited to, content that may be deemed offensive, inappropriate, or harmful.
Furthermore, we also reserve the right to remove Winner or Official Selection images from our platform, social media, and any associated marketing materials without prior notice, and without providing specific reasons or informing the user, at our sole discretion.

3. Submission Process

Entries must be submitted via our official submission page at aimasteraward.com/submit-ai. Submissions outside this portal (e.g., via email or social media) will not be accepted.

Paying the entry fee does not guarantee selection.

4. Review and Selection

4.1 Official Selection

All entries are reviewed by our professional jury. Whether or not your work is selected, you will be notified of the outcome via email.

If selected:

  • Your image will be published on the AIMA platform.

  • You will receive an Official Selection laurel.

  • Your work will automatically qualify for the quarterly AI Master Award in its category.

4.2 Frequency of Selection

Winners are selected four times per year (March, June, September, December). One winner per category is selected each quarter. The number of categories may evolve over time.

5. Award Winners

Each quarter’s winners will receive:

  • The AI Master Award trophy, shipped directly to the recipient’s doorstep, at no additional cost.

  • A feature on the official AIMA Winners Page

  • Promotion on AIMA’s social media and marketing channels

The award is a recognition of excellence in AI-generated visual art.

6. Rights and License for Submitted Work

By submitting content to AIMA, you:

  • Retain full copyright and ownership of your work.
As a participant in the AI Master Award, you retain full copyright of your submitted work. Your creation remains entirely yours — now and in the future.

We also respect your moral rights: whenever your work is featured on our platforms or shared as part of the award’s communication, you will be credited as the creator. In the rare event that a credit is missing due to oversight, we will promptly correct it upon notification.

  • Grant AIMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license to:

    • Display your work on our platform(s)

    • Promote your work via social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns

    • Use your image in press releases, award presentations, and online or print publications

    • Include your work in possible future exhibitions, catalogues, or printed showcases of the AI Master Award

This permission is granted through the submission process, including explicit consent provided via required confirmation checkboxes.

This license allows AIMA to promote the award and its participants, but you remain the rightful creator of the image. You may continue to use, sell, or license your work elsewhere.

You confirm that:

  • The submitted work does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or moral rights of any third party.

  • If other identifiable individuals, elements, or data appear in the image, you have obtained proper consent.

7. Content Standards

Submissions must not:

  • Contain unlawful, defamatory, violent, or discriminatory content

  • Violate copyright or trademarks of others

  • Include hateful, pornographic, or exploitative material

We reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry without refund if it violates these standards.

8. Intellectual Property of AIMA

All elements of the AIMA website and award materials, including branding, text, visuals, and design, are the intellectual property of AI Master Award AIMA. Unauthorized reproduction or misuse is strictly prohibited.

9. Data Collection and Privacy

When using our platform, you agree that we may collect and store:

  • Your name, email, and contact data
