Short Description

ProtoCoral is a metaphor for the emotional interactions we sometimes experience with nature. Coral is a fascinating living organism that appears immutable to us because it grows at a speed invisible to the naked eye. Nevertheless, its structure seems capable of developing infinitely despite its fragility. The choice to merge the human with this molecular structure was clearly aesthetic for me; I am also interested in themes such as the otherness of organisms (living or mechanical), their emotional modifications, etc…

Process

I would find it very difficult to precisely describe the image creation process I use with AI today because, over time, I’ve become immersed in a very large corpus (several thousand images) that I constantly manipulate through cross-referencing, quick edits, and subtle retouching… to the point that I no longer know exactly when an image satisfies me, or when I can trace it back to its origins. I believe that’s the whole point of working with AI: the powerful complexity of visual research it enables.
