The Gilded Rebel

This work is about the tug-of-war between who the world wants us to be and who we actually are. The “Gilded” part represents the beautiful, complex shells we build around ourselves—tradition, fashion, and social expectations. The “Rebel” is that raw, animal instinct that lives just beneath the surface, waiting for a moment to break through.

I wanted to capture that specific tension where elegance meets defiance. It’s a reminder that even when we are draped in the most intricate armor, our true nature is never fully tamed. It’s a study of duality: the sacred and the primal existing in the same person at the same time.
