We are living through a time when AI is advancing rapidly and humanoid robotics have moved out of science fiction and into public forums. The distinctions between human and machine capabilities are becoming uncomfortably less obvious, while the lines between natural beauty and synthetic enhancement are increasingly blurred.
For most of human history, the machine has been something separate from us. Something we build, control and use to extend the limits of what our bodies and minds can do. We can no longer take that separation for granted.
Artifice and Impulse take the trajectory to its logical extreme, to a possible future that may come sooner than we imagine. Where the machine is no longer an external aid and has, instead, become anatomy. Where biology and machinery have evolved as one, and the distinction between the organic and the constructed has ceased to exist.
What appears to us now as artificial may simply be the next expression of what is considered natural and beautiful.
