Each face meets its double: warm flesh against bone, breath against mechanism. Borrowing the grammar of Flemish vanitas and the cold precision of the anatomical plate, the series stages a confrontation in which the human and its synthetic écorché take each other’s measure, brow to brow, parted by a few centimetres of crystal and silence.
The skulls aligned in the background are no longer the painter’s memento mori: they have become the archive of a species watching itself turn machine. Dehumanisation is not violence — it is a slow substitution, almost tender. A kiss that will never take place.
What we lose still looks like us.

This is the result of a long process of images itérations and reflexion about humanity and technology, I try to make the images speak by themselves.
